Being Switzerland: A Neutral Tablescape

Being Switzerland: A Neutral Tablescape

There’s something so calming about a neutral palette for a tablescape. I love the warmth and coziness these tones bring to a room. I also love that this tablescape can be year-round. The brown tones are perfect for fall, but neutrals are also great for spring/summer. And who can resist a winter white?

My favorites are the adorable hedgehog and the elegant garden stool. Shop the look below!

Ladies who Lunch

Ladies who Lunch

These items have inspired me to go buy a caftan and throw a brunch in my own honor. These entertaining goodies would also be ideal for a bridal brunch, baby shower or an old fashioned tea party with your gal pals!

How amazing is the blue acrylic salad bowl?! That is a must-have item, and it comes in a bunch of other colors too!

The beautiful feminine details of these other finds are also very pinky up worthy:

Cheese, Wine and Everything Fine!

Cheese, Wine and Everything Fine!

Happy Valentines Day! On the day of love, I thought it would be fitting to talk about the two true loves of my life. Nope, not my son and husband… CHEESE & WINE! The absolute perfect pair. Each delicious on their own, but when consumed together… *magic*

Sweet Dreams Are Made of Cheese, Who Am I to Dis a Brie?

When hosting a party, putting out a cheeseboard is my go-to move. It’s easy to serve and easy for your guests to nibble on while mingling. My husband is a pro at the charcuterie display, and he loves having it be his special job when we have people over. But, even if arranging a cheeseboard is not your special talent — these cheeseboards are so pretty that it wouldn’t matter!

ALL my favorite cheeseboards at the moment:

Can’t forget the cheese knives:

When I sip, you sip, we sip!

A nice, clear wine glass is always a safe bet. But, it’s also fun to mix it up and have a little fun (…or A LOT of fun). Here are my favorite wine glasses right now:

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day celebrating with your loved ones. And although you can’t buy happiness, you can buy cheese + wine… which is kind of the same thing. 🙂

Super Bowl

Super Bowl

Last night’s Super Bowl has me inspired to create a “manly” tablescape. I love the masculine energy these marble pieces bring, while still being beautiful and chic. Also, popcorn will never look better than when served in this beautiful brown glass bowl

Let’s get wild with these serving platters and accessories:

Losing my marbles over all this marble:

Polish Your Bar Cart Style

Polish Your Bar Cart Style

It’s 5 O’clock somewhere! When hosting, it’s always important to keep your bar cart stocked and fresh. Here are some of my favorite accessories to make your bar cart look polished and inviting.

Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner…

{ Gradient Glasses // Green Stripe Carafe }

The colors of these glasses are gorgeous, and would make any bar pop. I guarantee your bar cart won’t be a ‘Baby in the corner’ if these glasses/carafe are on it, instead yours would be dirty dancing front and center stage making sure you’re having the time of your life! (Random/terrible analogy, I know.) Anyways 🙂 They are both super unique and using the carafe to serve wine would definitely bring a certain cool factor to the party.

Shaken, Not Stirred…

{ Gem Cocktail Stirrers // Evil Eye Cocktail Stirrers }

No need to follow in James Bond’s footsteps. You can have your martinis shaken and stirred by using these fabulous cocktail stirrers. I love putting cocktail stirrers in a cup on my bar cart as another way to decorate it, along with it being practical.

Ice, Ice Baby…

{ Acrylic Ice Bucket // Antique Butterfly Ice Bucket – similar }

All right stop. Let’s collaborate and listen… cause this quirky-cute acrylic ice bucket is only $20!!!

White Claw SZN…

{ Cactus // Cheers // White Claw Tea Towel }

White Claw SZN will be here before you know it. Although, for some (me!), it’s White Claw season year-round… so this tea towel is already in my shopping cart.  A bar cart *absolute must* is a stack of adorable cocktail napkins for people to grab… these two would add instant cheeriness to your bar.

Don Draper Inspo…

{ Penguin Cocktail Shaker // Coasters }

A martini shaker is always a fun accessory to help fill out your bar cart and make it look legit. I own this penguin cocktail shaker, and although I’ve only used it a handful of times, I always leave it on display because it tends to get a lot of compliments. I LOVE these coasters. They have a sophisticated look without being boring. I imagine that these would be on Don Draper’s office, just waiting for a martini. If you are looking for something more fun, these pink coasters are perfect:

Sip Sip… Hooray!

{ Neon Tumblers // Clink Champagne Glass – similar }

Having a few glasses readily available on your bar cart makes it easy on your guests to help themselves (which also makes it easier on you as a hostess). I like to have a mix of nice glasses and some fun plastic/paper ones for guests to choose from.

The Belle of the Ball…

{ Gold Round Bamboo Cart // Acrylic and Bronze Cart }

Last, but not least… the cart! Whether you want to put Baby in the corner (aka the round cart) or front and center stage (the rectangle cart) of the room, you can’t go wrong with either of these beauties. (I really don’t know why this weird analogy is sticking with me…  😛)

Cheers!

Oh Happy Valentine’s Day

Oh Happy Valentine’s Day

I love discovering a new amazing party store! Although Oh Happy Day has been around for a while, my love affair with the site fully bloomed with its most recent Valentine’s Day selection. Here are some of Oh Happy Day’s swoon-worthy items to make your Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day as sweet as can be! {Looking for even more Valentine’s Day options?? Let’s Taco Bout Love!}

Tableware

{ Ooh La La Cocktail Napkins // Ombre Dinner Plate // Gold + White Flatware }

I love myself a good Ombre! I also love that you can use all three of these items for other events down the road, like a birthday party, bachelorette or bridal shower.

{ Red Wood Cutlery // Red Scallop Bowl //  Carriacou Napkin }

This red scallop bowl also comes in a fun bright pink and a pretty pastel pink, and is available as a plate as well. I love using these wood cutlery for parties because it minimizes clean-up and they’re lightweight, which makes going through a buffet or nibbling way easier for your guests. They are also an easy way to add a pop of color to your table.

{ Amethyst Cups // Amethyst Dinner Plates // Gold Splatter Napkins }

How beautiful would this Amethyst set be for a Galentine’s get-together? I like that this set doesn’t read cheesy Valentine’s Day and is more of a subtle ode to the vibe of the holiday.

{ Felt Heart Cocktail Stirrers // Cut-Out Heart Napkins }

I <3 these! Nothing completes a bar cart better than some festive cocktail stirrers and cocktail napkins.

{ Pink Cake Stand // Metallic Cupcake Liners }

It wouldn’t be a Valentine’s Day celebration without some dessert! This precious pink stand would be the perfect way to serve your guests some cupcakes (specifically in these metallic liners) or a cute way to display cake balls and cookies.

Balloons

{ Marble Balloon // Rose Gold Love Balloon }

Oh Happy Day‘s balloon collection is out-of-this-world good!! They have every size, shape and color you could possibly imagine. It was super hard to narrow it down to just two options, so you *must* check out the rest … I am obsessed with the mini heart-shaped balloons, the chrome balloons and the emoji balloons…see below!

I hope you got ALL the feeeeelssss from these adorable goodies and continue to spread the love by throwing a fabulous V-Day party! {Looking for even more Valentine’s Day options?? Let’s Taco Bout Love!}
