Happy Valentines Day! On the day of love, I thought it would be fitting to talk about the two true loves of my life. Nope, not my son and husband… CHEESE & WINE! The absolute perfect pair. Each delicious on their own, but when consumed together… *magic*
Sweet Dreams Are Made of Cheese, Who Am I to Dis a Brie?
When hosting a party, putting out a cheeseboard is my go-to move. It’s easy to serve and easy for your guests to nibble on while mingling. My husband is a pro at the charcuterie display, and he loves having it be his special job when we have people over. But, even if arranging a cheeseboard is not your special talent — these cheeseboards are so pretty that it wouldn’t matter!
ALL my favorite cheeseboards at the moment:
Can’t forget the cheese knives:
When I sip, you sip, we sip!
A nice, clear wine glass is always a safe bet. But, it’s also fun to mix it up and have a little fun (…or A LOT of fun). Here are my favorite wine glasses right now:
I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day celebrating with your loved ones. And although you can’t buy happiness, you can buy cheese + wine… which is kind of the same thing. 🙂
Last night’s Super Bowl has me inspired to create a “manly” tablescape. I love the masculine energy these marble pieces bring, while still being beautiful and chic. Also, popcorn will never look better than when served in this beautiful brown glass bowl.
Let’s get wild with these serving platters and accessories:
Losing my marbles over all this marble:
Here are some other goodies I have my eye on to complete the “manly” vibe:
This dreary January weather has me dreaming of the warm, sunny days to come. I just moved into a new house and can’t wait to host parties in my backyard. These are some of my top picks right now for creating your own outdoor oasis:
I also have my eye on these goodies:
Now let’s just pray that the ground hog doesn’t see his shadow next week, because these items have me *READY* for Spring!!
The colors of these glasses are gorgeous, and would make any bar pop. I guarantee your bar cart won’t be a ‘Baby in the corner’ if these glasses/carafe are on it, instead yours would be dirty dancing front and center stage making sure you’re having the time of your life! (Random/terrible analogy, I know.) Anyways 🙂 They are both super unique and using the carafe to serve wine would definitely bring a certain cool factor to the party.
No need to follow in James Bond’s footsteps. You can have your martinis shaken and stirred by using these fabulous cocktail stirrers. I love putting cocktail stirrers in a cup on my bar cart as another way to decorate it, along with it being practical.
White Claw SZN will be here before you know it. Although, for some (me!), it’s White Claw season year-round… so this tea towel is already in my shopping cart. A bar cart *absolute must* is a stack of adorable cocktail napkins for people to grab… these two would add instant cheeriness to your bar.
A martini shaker is always a fun accessory to help fill out your bar cart and make it look legit. I own this penguin cocktail shaker, and although I’ve only used it a handful of times, I always leave it on display because it tends to get a lot of compliments. I LOVE these coasters. They have a sophisticated look without being boring. I imagine that these would be on Don Draper’s office, just waiting for a martini. If you are looking for something more fun, these pink coasters are perfect:
Having a few glasses readily available on your bar cart makes it easy on your guests to help themselves (which also makes it easier on you as a hostess). I like to have a mix of nice glasses and some fun plastic/paper ones for guests to choose from.
Last, but not least… the cart! Whether you want to put Baby in the corner (aka the round cart) or front and center stage (the rectangle cart) of the room, you can’t go wrong with either of these beauties. (I really don’t know why this weird analogy is sticking with me… 😛)
I’m making a list and checking it twice for all of these dreamy items. I’ve had my eye on some of these for years, but the price tag has held me back. They’re totally worth the investment though, as they’re all so beautiful and would bring me so much joy every year. So, if you are wondering if it’s time to pull the trigger… ArdyParty votes yes!
Last but not least! These salt & pepper shakers and chargers make my heart skip a beat every time I see them. They both are on the top of my wish list! Although pricey, they’d be a showstopper every.single.year… Making it worth every penny!
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year! (And that we all find some of these special items under our Christmas trees this year.)
I have a new found love for napkin rings. Yet somehow, I only have ONE set! So, since I am on the hunt for some napkin rings myself, I thought I’d spotlight some of my favorites that are currently on the market right now:
My obsession with ginger jars is on another level. I decorated my wedding tables with ginger jar inspired plates, office bookshelf is covered with ginger jars and I own ginger jar lamps, plates, bakeware, a beverage dispenser, napkins and… these exact napkin rings.
I like treating the ginger jar pattern like a neutral… AKA they will pair with every napkin!
These napkin rings offer a “playful elegance” and can transform your table into an art deco / modern masterpiece. For me, this set is more of a bucket list item as they are mucho $$$! I will be stalking them until they *hopefully* go on sale.
There are plenty of more affordable acrylic dining napkins on the market right now, but mostly only available in clear. Clear is a great option, but I am a sucker for a set where each guest gets a unique look to their table setting (whether that be a napkin ring, wine glass or dessert plate).
I am a sucker for pretty much anything with pompoms and tassels. These napkin rings would be ideal for celebrating Cinco De Mayo, Fiesta (for those of you in San Antonio), a birthday or a gender reveal party (i.e. the blue/pink pompoms).
And for those of you that are in a Supper Club, we all know the easiest dinner to throw together for 10+ people is Mexican food. So even if you are hastily throwing together a Fajita dinner, these napkin rings will add some class and sass to your themed tablescape. (Plus, they’re only $12 … for napkin rings of this quality, that’s insane!)
This napkin ring is even better looking in-person. The hand-dyed pink beads are very pale and the little goldtone detailing will make any table look very crips and put together. I can see myself pairing it with a beautiful neutral linen or a fun citrus-colored printed napkin.
**These are currently 30% off at the link above (such a steal!) and also come in a light seafoam blue. **
If you don’t like elephants you might as well be Cruella de Vil in my mind. I kid, I kid … kind of.
Regardless of the fact that these elephant napkin rings would bring a smile to any of your guests’ faces, they are truly stunning. Even if you’re only working with plain white napkins or plates, the turquoise/red/black jewels will make any table pop!
These Tortoise Knot napkin rings are a classic and will never go out of style. The translucent tortoise pattern can be dressed up or down for any occasion. You should treat it as a neutral and pair it with any pattern/color of napkin or dinnerware.
To sum it up, these are a good investment and you will love them forever.
This set of napkin rings remind me of chic stackable bracelets.
What drew me to these is that unlike the classic gold round napkin ring sets that people buy as a staple, these are simple but have a modern twist. (And if you’ve read any one of my posts – or even earlier in this post haha – then y’all know how much I love the fact that each guest at the table gets their own shape!)
I love the blue and gold combo of these agate stones. Actually, can someone tell me what the proper name is of this stone? (TBH I don’t know the difference between Agate / Geode / Mineral Stones / Quartz, etc. I tried googling, but I went down the rabbit hole of beautiful stone items and couldn’t reel myself back in.) So any help here would be great! 🙂
These guys also come in white/gold and white/silver … both beautiful options. I just personally love a lot of color. I also fell in love with these **more affordable** options that essentially pull off the same look:
My sister Paige registered for these beauties for her wedding and I’ve been envious ever since. (If only she didn’t live in Brooklyn, I would be stealing them from her like I do with my other two sisters that live in Texas.)
I know how much happiness these napkin rings bring my sister because even when she isn’t hosting, her table is always set with these purely for decoration. And every time I see them I love them more.
**These are on sale RIGHT NOW for under $50 for a set of 4! They’re sold out on Bloomingdales and I saw them going for $158 on other sites!!! You. are. welcome. **
I practically bleed blue and white, so this round up of tablescape decor will be one of many that’s blue and white themed.
I currently own three ice buckets, which just doesn’t seem to be enough. I’m obsessed with #12 …these napkins are the perfect way to add texture to your table and will really pop. I plan to own them in multiple colors.
I already own #10 and it’s matching serving platter. It’s hard to see from this image, but in person the bowl’s edge is heavily waved/scalloped.
While I am waiting for these April showers to subside, I thought I’d make my own rainbow out of tablecloths to brighten my (and hopefully your) day!
If you can’t tell, I am a print fanatic and all of these bright printed table linens are making me do my happy dance. Although my favorite color is purple, I always tend to lean towards a blue & white color scheme for my tablescapes. But since pulling all of these fun patterned linens, I am having a hard time deciding which one is my favorite.
#1 would be perfect for the Fourth of July and I love #2, which also comes in lime that is awesome as well. At this very moment I have #5, #6 and #9 in my cart. (I already own #4 and #8 in the pink/orange plaid color scheme… I’m an addict, I know.)
Comment below to let me know your favorite color of this table rainbow!
